Job summary

Pioneer Selection Ltd in Sherburn in Elmet (Leeds) is seeking a Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer for night shifts to maintain plant reliability and quality. The role covers reactive and planned maintenance on electrical and mechanical systems, with a focus on fault finding and improving OEE.

Salary is £49,006 including shift allowance. The role offers 4 or 5 night patterns, a company bonus, pension, and ongoing training within a market‑leading manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Apprentice trained in engineering.
• Experience within a manufacturing or heavy industrial environment preferred.
• Welding experience (MIG/TIG) or machine shop exposure helpful.

Responsibilities

• Perform reactive and planned maintenance to ensure plant reliability and product quality.
• Fault finding across electrical and mechanical systems.
• Support continuous improvement to reduce downtime and improve OEE.

Job Role of the Maintenance Engineer

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join a market-leading manufacturing business known for its innovation and investment in advanced production systems. Working as part of the night shift engineering team, you will be responsible for both reactive and planned maintenance, ensuring plant reliability, safety, and product quality across the site. This role requires a strong level of fault finding across both electrical and mechanical systems, supporting high levels of overall equipment effectiveness (OEE).

You will also play a key role in continuous improvement initiatives, working closely with production teams to reduce downtime, improve efficiency, and maintain high operational standards.
