Job summary

Ernest Gordon Recruitment Limited is seeking a Maintenance Engineer (Mechanical / Manufacturing) in Stowmarket. Salary £42,500 - £45,000 with uncapped overtime, 36 days holidays, and clear progression opportunities within a reputable manufacturing environment.

You will maintain and operate machines on the production line, ensuring high-quality output and minimal downtime. This role is a Monday–Friday days-based position in a growing company with strong training benefits.

Qualifications

• Level 3 NVQ or equivalent required.
• Must be commutable to Stowmarket.
• Experience maintaining production equipment in manufacturing environments preferred.

Responsibilities

• Detect and repair mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic faults.
• Perform part replacement, adjustments and welding repairs when needed.
• Record maintenance activities and ensure workplace safety.
• Support production lines.
• Ensure environmental compliance and optimize use of resources.
• Coordinate with supply chains, quality and external service providers.
