Job summary

Ernest Gordon Recruitment is assisting a Stowmarket employer to recruit a Junior Maintenance Engineer (Mechanical / Manufacturing). The role is based on a Monday–Friday days pattern with a salary of £32,500 – £40,000 plus uncapped overtime and a strong training and progression path.

You will help maintain and operate machines in production, ensuring quality and reliable output while following safety and environmental policies. Commutable distance to Stowmarket is expected.

Qualifications

• Maintenance experience in a production/manufacturing environment.
• Ability to diagnose and fix mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic faults.
• Willingness to work Monday–Friday in a days-based role.

Responsibilities

• Detect and repair mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic faults.
• Preform part replacement, adjustments and welding repairs when needed.
• Record maintenance activities and ensure workplace safety.
• Support production lines and ensure smooth operation.
• Coordinate with supply chains, quality and external service company’s.

The role
