Job summary

Proactive Global is seeking an experienced Maintenance Engineer for a Leeds site, focusing on reactive and planned maintenance of fully automated production machinery. The role requires an engineering qualification and hands-on electrical or mechanical expertise to minimise downtime and support breakdowns.

This long-term contract offers exposure to cutting-edge machinery and potential progression to a permanent role.

Qualifications

• Engineering qualification - City & Guilds Level 3 / NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent).
• Proven experience in a manufacturing / process/ production environment.
• Good knowledge of maintaining production or process machinery.
• Strong background in either mechanical or electrical maintenance.
• Hands-on approach and ability to work as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Reactive and planned maintenance of production machinery
• Electrical or mechanical fault finding and repair (depending on skill set)
• Minimise downtime and support on breakdowns
• Assist with continuous improvement projects
