Job summary
Forterra Building Products Ltd Desford is seeking a Maintenance Engineer L1 to join the site maintenance team. You will be responsible for rectifying mechanical and electrical malfunctions to keep plant productivity, with a strong emphasis on safety and continuous improvement.
Duties include CMMS reporting, breakdown logging, TPM/PPM activities, spare parts fitment, housekeeping, and adherence to LOTOTO and PPE policies.
Qualifications
- Formal education in mechanical maintenance; Level 3 ONC apprenticeship or equivalent.
Responsibilities
- Maintenance reporting through CMMS system.
- Breakdown reporting.
- Completion of TPM/PPM activities.
- Monitor each stage of the process.
- Ensure correct spare parts are fitted to operate safely.
- Rectify stoppages/malfunctions and request support when needed.
- Adhere to site PPE policy.
- Housekeeping duties.
- Report health & safety issues to management.
- Adhere to LOTOTO procedure.
- Maintain production output, quality and yields through effective servicing.
- Engage in continuous improvement activities.
