Job summary
Forterra Building Products Ltd in Newbury is seeking an Electrical Technician to join our manufacturing site. You will perform PPM and breakdown support, upgrade old machinery and install new equipment to improve site efficiency and renew facilities.
Working as part of the engineering team, you will carry out day-to-day electrical and mechanical maintenance, diagnose faults, and provide technical support to keep production running and plans on track, with a focus on safety and adherence to TPM
Qualifications
- Recognised electrical qualification and experience in manufacturing environments.
- Strong fault-finding skills for electrical and mechanical systems.
- Experience with PLCs and control systems is essential.
Responsibilities
- Attend to machine breakdowns and diagnose faults.
- Provide engineering cover to meet business demands.
- Carry out planned and preventive maintenance.
- Maintain electrical plant and equipment to meet production targets.
- Enter tasks in maintenance log and provide progress updates.
