Forterra Building Products in Desford is seeking a Maintenance Engineer L1 to join our site maintenance team, handling both electrical and mechanical tasks to keep plant production running smoothly. The successful candidate will work within a zero-tolerance safety culture, complete TPM/PPM activities, and report through CMMS, while ensuring safe equipment operation and adherence to LOTOTO and PPE policies.

Qualifications

• Minimum Level 3 ONC apprenticeship or equivalent in mechanical maintenance.
• Proof of attainment in mechanical maintenance field.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair mechanical and electrical equipment to reduce downtime.
• Report maintenance activities through CMMS system.
• Carry out TPM/PPM activities and monitor process stages.
• Ensure correct spare parts are fitted for safe operation.
• Adhere to PPE policies and housekeeping standards.
