Job summary

Forterra Building Products Desford site is seeking a Maintenance Engineer Level 2 to join our on-site team. You will perform electrical and mechanical maintenance to rectify faults and support continuous production in a zero-tolerance safety culture.

The role requires formal mechanical qualifications and hands‑on TPM/PPM experience, with a commitment to safety, quality, and process improvement across the plant.

Qualifications

• Formal education or qualification in mechanical maintenance
• Level should demonstrate attainment in mechanical maintenance field
• Experience with TPM/PPM and safety procedures is desirable

Responsibilities

• Maintenance reporting through CMMS system
• Breakdown reporting and repair of mechanical/electrical issues
• Complete TPM/PPM activities and monitor process stages
• Ensure correct spare parts and safe operation
• Adhere to PPE and site safety policies
• Maintain housekeeping and report health & safety issues
• Support continuous improvement initiatives
