Job summary

Wolviston Management Services is seeking a Maintenance Engineer (Electrical bias) to join a Teesside manufacturing site. You will be responsible for planned and reactive maintenance across plant and facilities, diagnosing faults and delivering effective repairs in a busy, multi-skilled environment.

The role reports to the Maintenance Manager and offers opportunities to lead improvements, work with hydraulic/pneumatic systems and CNC machinery, and develop through Lean manufacturing initiatives

Qualifications

• Time-served apprenticeship in mechanical and/or electrical discipline.
• Experience in manufacturing/engineering maintenance.
• Hands-on maintenance experience with machine tools and CNC machinery.
• Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics and electrical diagnostics.
• Experience with Lean and continuous improvement.
• Good IT skills and organisation.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned and reactive maintenance across plant, equipment and facilities.
• Respond to equipment breakdowns to minimise downtime.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults.
• Maintain factory equipment including CNC machinery.
• Record maintenance activities and documentation.
• Support process improvements and Lean initiatives.
• Ensure safe working practices and high workmanship standards.
