Job summary
CV Technical Limited is recruiting an Electrical Maintenance Engineer (Electrical Bias) to maintain a wide range of production machinery in a modern North Yorkshire site. The role focuses on improving uptime and equipment reliability within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
You will carry out PPMs, diagnose faults on electrical control systems and PLC-driven equipment, and contribute to continuous improvement projects.
Qualifications
- Recognised electrical engineering qualification (NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, HNC or equivalent).
- Maintenance experience in manufacturing, FMCG, packaging, recycling or heavy industrial environment.
- Strong electrical fault-finding on motors, drives, sensors, inverters and control systems.
- Knowledge of PLC fault finding (Siemens, Allen Bradley or similar).
- Proactive maintenance and continuous improvement mindset.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive repairs.
- Diagnose and fault find on electrical control systems and production equipment.
- Work with PLC-controlled machinery and automation systems.
- Support continuous improvement projects to improve plant performance.
- Ensure all maintenance work is safe and in line with procedures.
- Collaborate with production teams to minimise downtime.
