Job summary

JobsTrackR in Cambridge is seeking a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer with an electrical bias to join a well-established manufacturing business. The role covers planned and reactive maintenance across electro-mechanical equipment, with opportunities to engage in component manufacture and improvement projects.

The ideal candidate will have a Level 3 Engineering qualification and extensive electro-mechanical maintenance experience, with a proactive fault-finding approach and ability to read

Qualifications

• Level 3 Engineering qualification or equivalent.
• Experience in Food Manufacturing, FMCG or similar production environment.
• Strong electro-mechanical maintenance experience.
• Ability to read and interpret schematic drawings.
• Experience with milling equipment.
• Knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics.
• Proactive fault finding and problem solving.
• Experience of continuous improvement within a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative and condition-based maintenance across a range of electro-mechanical equipment.
• Respond to reactive breakdowns, fault find and complete repairs efficiently.
• Manufacture and repair components using lathes, milling machines and welding equipment.
• Work closely with production teams to improve equipment performance and reliability.
• Support continuous improvement projects across the site.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records using the site's CMMS system.
• Liaise with and coordinate on-site contractors where required.
• Participate in ongoing training and development to maintain technical knowledge and competence.
• Ensure all maintenance activities are carried out safely and in line with site procedures.
