Job summary

Walker Workforce Solutions Ltd is recruiting an experienced Maintenance Engineer for a well-established engineering and manufacturing group in Wolverhampton. This permanent, day-shift role offers long-term prospects, with an early finish on Fridays and occasional overtime to support production needs.

You will maintain and support production machinery across CNC machining, welding and assembly, diagnose electrical and mechanical faults, and implement repairs to minimise downtime while upholding

Job description

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Maintenance Engineer to join a well-established and respected engineering and manufacturing organisation. This is an excellent permanent opportunity for a skilled engineer with a dual electrical and mechanical bias, looking for a stable day-shift position with genuine long-term prospects.

Working as part of the engineering team, you will be responsible for maintaining and supporting a range of production machinery and equipment across CNC machining, welding and assembly operations. Your work will play an important role in minimising downtime and keeping the production operation running safely and efficiently.

The role will involve planned and reactive maintenance, fault finding, repairs and general engineering support across the site. You will be comfortable diagnosing both electrical and mechanical faults, carrying out effective repairs and responding quickly to production issues.

The successful candidate will have previous maintenance experience within an engineering or manufacturing environment, with a strong understanding of both electrical and mechanical systems. Experience supporting CNC machinery, welding equipment and assembly operations would be highly advantageous. PLC knowledge and the ability to fault find within control systems would also be advantageous.

You should be confident working independently, prioritising tasks and making sound decisions in a busy production environment. A proactive approach, good attention to detail and a strong understanding of health & safety are essential.

The position is permanent and based on a day shift with an early finish on Fridays, offering an excellent work-life balance. There may also be an occasional requirement for overtime to support the needs of the business.
