Job summary

Wagstaff Recruitment & Careers Coaching is recruiting on behalf of a family-run food manufacturer in Leicestershire for a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer on a days-only pattern.

You will diagnose electrical and mechanical faults, perform planned maintenance, and contribute to improving equipment reliability to keep production running smoothly.

The role offers a salary of £50,170.56 plus a wide range of company benefits and a supportive, collaborative culture.

Qualifications

• Qualified electrical or mechanical engineer with fault-finding skills.
• Experience in food manufacturing is welcome but not essential.
• PLC knowledge would be useful though not essential.
• Strong problem-solving mindset and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and resolve electrical and mechanical faults.
• Respond to breakdowns, working with production to minimise downtime.
• Carry out planned maintenance to prevent recurring problems.
• Identify and implement improvements to equipment reliability and efficiency.
• Provide clear, practical advice and technical support to production.
• Record maintenance activity using Redzone and maintain spare-parts records.
• Work safely and maintain high engineering and housekeeping standards.
