Job summary
Severfield is seeking a Maintenance Engineer for the Lostock, Bolton site to maintain plant and facilities, perform planned and reactive maintenance, and coordinate with production to minimise downtime.
The role requires an NVQ Level 3 in Engineering or time served with a multi-skilled background, with a strong electrical bias and 18th edition qualifications. Shire software is used for maintenance tracking.
Qualifications
- NVQ Level 3 in Engineering or time served with a multi-skilled background.
- Strong electrical bias required and 18th edition electrical qualifications.
- Experience with overhead cranes, CNC machines, welding plant, and general planned maintenance.
- Familiarity with Shire software for maintenance tracking.
Responsibilities
- Responding swiftly to unexpected machinery breakdowns to restore operations safely and efficiently
- Understanding the operating procedures of all equipment and their role in the production process
- Making recommendations to reduce downtime and improve processes
- Recommissioning machines post-repair and identifying parts required for smooth operation
- Completing relevant permits to work and adhering to Health & Safety procedures
- Using Shire software for maintenance tracking and reporting
