Job summary

Wagstaff Recruitment is seeking a Maintenance Engineer for a leading food manufacturer in Cambridge. You will cover PPM and reactive maintenance across packaging lines and site services, with a focus on electrical and mechanical fault finding.

The role requires PLC fault-finding skills, experience with conveyors, packaging machinery, pneumatics and hydraulics, plus the ability to work in a small team and on-call rota. Permanent, days, with overtime opportunities.

Qualifications

• Open to electrical or mechanical biased engineers, but must have electrical fault finding capabilities.
• Must be comfortable working in a small team, flexible to working a call out rota.
• Ideally have completed a time-served apprenticeship.
• Level 3 qualified or higher in engineering.
• Electrical & mechanical fault finding skills.
• Must have previously worked in fast-paced manufacturing, ideally food / FMCG.
• PLC – electrical fault finding.
• Mechanical fabrication, fitting, and welding skills would be beneficial.
• Must have worked with pneumatics & hydraulics.
• Ideally have a varied career, comfortable working at heights and in confined spaces.
• 17th or 18th Edition.
• Able to work unsupervised.

Monday-Friday 8am-5pm + 1 in 3 Week Call Out Rota

£48,000 + Overtime

Our client is a leading food manufacturer that is part of a larger European Group. Due to an up and coming retirement, they are looking for a maintenance engineer, to join their close knit team.
