Job summary

Elevation Recruitment Group are recruiting a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer (Electrical Bias) for a manufacturing site in Wakefield. The role is £45,000 and typically Monday to Friday days.

You will maintain production machinery and site equipment, carry out electrical repairs on heavy plant, and respond quickly to breakdowns to minimise downtime. The ideal candidate will have an Advanced Apprenticeship (L3) in Electrical Engineering or equivalent, with strong electrical and mechanical

Qualifications

• Advanced Apprenticeship (L3) in Electrical maintenance or equivalent.
• Strong hands-on electrical and mechanical maintenance in industrial or production environments.
• Knowledge of Siemens PLC systems desirable.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned, preventative and reactive maintenance across production machinery and site equipment.
• Carry out electrical maintenance and repairs to existing heavy machinery, potentially installing new plant.
• Respond quickly to breakdowns, diagnosing and repairing electrical/mechanical faults to minimise downtime.
• Apply continuous improvement tools across the manufacturing facility.
• Promote Health and Safety standards to ensure a safe working environment.
• Identify recurring faults and drive root-cause analysis to reduce downtime.
• Work closely with support functions.

Days Only | Monday to Friday 8:30am-5pm

Responsibilities:

• Carry out planned, preventative and reactive maintenance across production machinery and site equipment.
• Carry out electrical maintenance and repairs to existing heavy machinery, potentially installing new plant.
• Respond quickly to breakdowns, diagnosing and repairing electrical, mechanical faults to minimise downtime.
• Ensure application of continuous improvement tools and techniques across all areas of the manufacturing facility
• Promote the highest Health and Safety standards to ensure a safe working environment.
• Identify recurring faults and contribute to continuous improvement and root-cause solutions to reduce downtime.
• Work closely with all support functions

What We're Looking For:

• Advanced Apprenticeship (L3) in Engineering Maintenance (Electrical), Electrical Installation, Electrical & Electrotechnical, Mechatronics (Electrical) or equivalent
• Strong hands-on electrical and mechanical maintenance experience in an industrial, production or similarly demanding environment.
• Knowledge of Siemens PLC systems and fault diagnosis desirable
• Knowledge of basic continuous improvement tools and techniques.
