Job summary

Owen Daniels is seeking a skilled Maintenance Engineer with an electrical bias to join a leading manufacturer in Telford. The role is permanent and involves maintaining complex electrical and mechanical systems, diagnosing faults and delivering effective improvements.

You will carry out planned and reactive maintenance, work with the production team to minimise downtime and ensure equipment is kept in a high standard. Relevant electrical qualifications are required.

Qualifications

• Experience in maintenance within a manufacturing/FMCG setting.
• Electrical qualifications such as City & Guilds/NVQ/18th Edition/HNC-HND are required.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned and reactive maintenance to minimise downtime.
• Fault finding and repairs on electrical and mechanical systems.
• Monitor machinery performance and implement improvements.
• Respond to breakdowns with production to ensure safe, high-standard equipment.
• Provide hands-on facilities support as needed.

Job Description

• Carry out planned and reactive maintenance, fault finding, repairs and preventative maintenance to minimise downtime
• Work with electrical and mechanical systems, diagnosing faults and delivering effective solutions
• Monitor machinery performance, identify recurring issues and implement improvements
• Work closely with the production team to respond to breakdowns, complete maintenance tasks safely and ensure equipment is maintained to a high standard
• Provide hands-on facilities support whenever required

Essential Skills/Experience/Qualifications

• Proven experience working with the manufacturing/FMCG industry
• Relevant electrical qualifications, such as City & Guilds, NVQ, 18th Edition, HNC/HND
