Job summary

Hunter Selection in Stoke-on-Trent is seeking a skilled Maintenance Engineer to maintain and improve production equipment within a busy manufacturing environment. The role offers a competitive salary and a shift pattern with an early finish every Friday.

You will carry out planned preventative maintenance, diagnose and repair faults, respond to breakdowns and support continuous improvement projects while keeping records and adhering to health and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Engineering qualification (Apprenticeship, NVQ, HNC, or equivalent).
• Experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
• Electrical, mechanical or multi-skilled background.
• Proactive approach with ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) activities.

Maintenance Engineer - Stoke-on-Trent - £45,000

37.5 Hours Per Week - Rotating Days & Noons Shifts

We're currently recruiting for a skilled Maintenance Engineer to join a well-established manufacturing business in Stoke-on-Trent. This is an excellent opportunity to join a stable and growing company offering a competitive salary, a great shift pattern, and an early finish every Friday.

The Role

As a Maintenance Engineer, you'll be responsible for maintaining and improving production equipment, responding to breakdowns, and carrying out planned preventative maintenance to ensure maximum machine uptime.

Key Responsibilities:

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) activities.
• Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical faults.
• Respond to machinery breakdowns and minimise downtime.
• Support continuous improvement projects across the site.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records.
• Ensure all work is completed in accordance with health & safety standards.

About You

• Engineering qualification (Apprenticeship, NVQ, HNC, or equivalent).
• Previous experience within a manufacturing or production environment.
• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
• Electrical, mechanical or multi-skilled background considered.
• Proactive approach with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Shift Pattern (37.5 Hours Per Week)

Days Shift

• Monday to Thursday: 06:00 - 14:10
• Friday: 06:00 - 13:10

Noons Shift

• Monday to Thursday: 14:00 - 22:10
• Friday: 13:00 - 20:10
