Job summary

Roundhouse Recruitment Ltd are recruiting a Maintenance Engineer (Multiskilled) for a modern FMCG facility in Gloucestershire. The role covers planned and reactive maintenance, fault-finding on PLC-controlled automation, and supporting continuous improvement, with a 4 on 4 off days/nights schedule and 12-hour shifts in a 24/7 operation.

The package includes £50,000–£55,000 salary, 34 days holiday, overtime paid at 1.5x and excellent company benefits, with international career progression

Qualifications

• Multiskilled maintenance engineer with automation experience.
• Experience in manufacturing FMCG environments (food/beverage/packaging) is preferred.
• Experience maintaining automated production machinery.
• PLC fault-finding is advantageous.
• NVQ Level 3 or equivalent engineering qualification desired.

Responsibilities

• Planned preventative and reactive maintenance across a modern automated facility.
• Electrical and mechanical fault finding on high-speed production equipment.
• Fault finding across PLC-controlled machinery.
• Working on pneumatic, hydraulic and automated systems.
• Supporting continuous improvement projects to maximise production efficiency.
• Working closely with production to minimise downtime.
• 4 on 4 off continental shift pattern (2 days, 2 nights, 4 off) with 12-hour shifts in a 24/7 operation.

The Role:

• Planned preventative and reactive maintenance across a modern automated manufacturing facility
• Electrical and mechanical fault finding on high-speed production equipment
• Fault finding across PLC-controlled machinery

The Person:

• Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer
• Manufacturing, FMCG, food, beverage, plastics, packaging or automated production background
• Experience maintaining automated production machinery
• PLC fault-finding experience advantageous
• NVQ Level 3, Apprenticeship or equivalent engineering qualification desirable
