Job summary

Norse Group LTD in Norwich is seeking a Maintenance Engineer on a full-time, fixed-term basis for 6 months. The role covers building maintenance inspections, repairs, and project support, with a 40-hour week from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm and a salary of £34,233.08.

You will conduct PPM inspections, fire alarm and electrical tasks, liaise with the helpdesk, work at height, and maintain tools safely while delivering excellent customer service.

Responsibilities

• Carry out building maintenance inspections, repairs and project support.
• Perform regular PPM inspections and testing (fire alarms, temperature, PAT).
• Assist with electrical repairs and minor building maintenance tasks.
• Liaise with the helpdesk to maximise efficiencies.
• Work at height and assist with changing lamps and control gear of external lighting.
• Liaise with contractors and ensure staff are competent in role.
• Communicate effectively with customers and adapt to their requirements.
• Schedule workload with local managers and customers, ensuring business requirements are met.
• Maintain tools and equipment in a clean, safe and tidy condition.

Maintenance Engineer

Our Norse TFM division are currently recruiting for an experienced Maintenance Engineer to join our TFM team on a full time, fixed term basis for 6 months.

The Role

As the Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible forcarrying out a variety of building maintenance inspections, repairs, & project support. This will include regular PPM inspections, fire alarm testing, temperature testing, Pat testing, Descaling, Painting, general building repairs & visual checks.

• Taking reasonable care for the Health and Safety of yourself and other.
• Assisting in maintaining accurate records to ensure statutory compliance.
• Assisting with electrical repairs and minor building maintenance tasks on a pre-planned and reactive basis which may include the testing of emergency system e.g.: Fire doors, emergency lighting, fire alarms etc. or completion of minor works/building maintenance tasks.
• Liaising with the helpdesk to maximize efficiencies.
• Working at height, assisting with changing lamps and control gear of external lighting
• Liaising with contractors and ensuring that staff are competent in role.
• Communicating effectively with customers and adapting to their requirements.
• Scheduling and priorities workload with local managers and customers, ensuring business requirements are met.
• Maintaining tools and equipment in a clean, safe and tidy condition.

Our Successful Candidate

We are looking for a motivated individual that possesses previous maintenance experience within a commercial environment. Alongside this, we are seeking for you to display:

• Experience of working in a maintenance team, in a commercial environment, providing a wide range of minor repairs and redecoration across all sectors.
• Able to work alone or as part of a team in a safe manner.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
