Job summary

IAP Recruitment Ltd is seeking a Maintenance Engineer to join the client’s engineering team in Leicester. The role is permanent and full-time, with hours from 07:00 to 15:00, Monday to Friday, totalling 37.5 hours per week.

The position carries a salary of £35k and involves some travel between Leicester sites. Responsibilities include mechanical maintenance on CNC and specialist machinery, gearbox and bearing repairs, reactive breakdown resolution, and preventive maintenance in line with health

Qualifications

• HNC or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering.

Responsibilities

• Provide mechanical maintenance to a wide range of CNC and specialist machinery.
• Mechanical repairs to gearboxes, bearings, shafts, drive chains, pumps and tanks.
• Manage and resolve reactive breakdown repairs, reducing machine downtimes to a minimum.
• As required carry out major refurbishment of plant, equipment and machinery.
• PLC fault finding and interrogation.
• Investigate reported faults, identify the cause and decide the necessary course of action to rectify the fault.
• Planned preventative maintenance
• Comply with legal requirements and to work within Company health and safety guidelines

Maintenance Engineer key job details:

• Conversant with Fanuc & Siemens controls
• Good English skills (reading, verbal, written)
• Computer literate
• You must hold a UK driving licence and have your own car
