My client, a rapidly expanding manufacturing company based in Henstridge near Wincanton, is looking to recruit a 'hands-on' Site Engineer.
The successful Site Engineer will report to the Operations Director and work closely with the Production Manager. The role involves managing all engineering requirements of the business, including direct hands-on work with plant, equipment, and utilities, as well as supervising contractors and suppliers.
The goal is to deliver low-cost production, maximize capacity and yield, minimize downtime, extend equipment lifespan, and reduce maintenance and repair costs. This is a full-time, factory-based position.
This role suits an enthusiastic individual with a solid mechanical engineering background, capable of working independently and managing contractors.
The role is commutable from Wincanton, Shepton Mallet, Yeovil, Shaftesbury, Frome, Bruton, Mere, Warminster, Westbury.
Ideal candidates may have previously worked as an Engineering Supervisor, Engineering Coordinator, Maintenance Manager, Mechanical Engineer, Mechanical Supervisor, Quarry Engineer, Agricultural Technician, Agricultural Engineer, or Engineering Team Leader.
