Job summary

MTrec Ltd Technical is seeking a Maintenance Engineer for a permanent role. You will plan, coordinate and supervise maintenance across plant machinery, lead a team of technicians, and implement preventative maintenance schedules.

Qualifications

• Experience supervising maintenance teams in industrial/manufacturing environments.
• Proven project management skills with ability to coordinate multiple tasks efficiently.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, electrical circuits, schematics and automation controls including PLCs.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and supervise maintenance activities across all plant machinery and systems to minimise downtime.
• Lead and manage a team of technicians, providing guidance, training, and supervision.
• Develop and implement preventative maintenance schedules in line with manufacturer specifications and operational demands.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and automation issues using schematics, manuals, and diagnostic tools.
• Manage projects related to equipment upgrades, repairs, or installations within budget constraints.
• Oversee PLCs for automation control systems optimisation.
• Analyse equipment performance data to identify improvements and implement corrective actions.
• Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, spare parts inventory, and equipment history for compliance and reporting.

The Job you'll do

• Plan, coordinate, and supervise maintenance activities across all plant machinery and systems to minimise downtime.
• Lead and manage a team of technicians, providing guidance, training, and supervision to ensure high standards of work.
• Develop and implement preventative maintenance schedules in line with manufacturer specifications and operational demands.
• Troubleshoot complex mechanical, electrical, and automation issues using schematics, technical manuals, and diagnostic tools.
