Job summary

CBRE Global Workplace Solutions (GWS) is seeking a Maintenance Engineer for a full-time, on-site role in London. You will diagnose faults, perform repairs, and complete preventive maintenance schedules across building systems.

The position includes an on-call rota and optional overtime, with standard hours Monday to Friday 08:00-17:00. The ideal candidate will have strong maintenance experience, knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems, and a commitment to safety and quality service.

Qualifications

• Strong skills in Equipment Maintenance and Maintenance & Repair to diagnose issues and perform timely corrective actions.
• Experience in Maintenance Engineering, including understanding of building services and technical systems.
• Proficiency in Preventive Maintenance, including planning and executing scheduled inspections and servicing.
• Competence in Maintenance, with the ability to work safely on electrical and Mechanical systems and follow regulatory requirements.
• Relevant technical qualification or apprenticeship in engineering, electrical, or mechanical discipline.
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations and safe working practices in a facilities environment.
• Ability to read technical drawings and documentation, and maintain clear maintenance records.
• Good communication skills, reliability, and the ability to work both independently and within a team.
• Previous experience in commercial or corporate facilities management is an advantage.

Role Description

The Maintenance Engineer role is a full-time, on-site position based in London. This role involves performing routine and reactive maintenance on building systems and equipment to ensure reliable and safe operation. Day-to-day tasks include diagnosing faults, carrying out repairs, completing preventive maintenance schedules, and supporting electrical maintenance activities in line with relevant standards. The Maintenance Engineer will work closely with the supervision, maintain accurate maintenance records, adhere to health and safety procedures, and support continuous improvement initiatives.
Monday to Friday 08:00-17:00
Overtime included but optional
On call Rota system included in role.
