Job summary

Pioneer Selection Ltd is recruiting an Engineering Team Leader for a busy manufacturing site in the Boston area. The role involves leading a maintenance team, coordinating planned and reactive work, and providing hands-on support to keep production running smoothly.

With a strong electrical/mechanical background and leadership experience, you’ll drive safety, efficiency and continuous improvement across the engineering function on a 4-on 4-off days & nights shift. Salary up to £55,000.

Qualifications

• Experience as Maintenance, Senior or Team Leader in manufacturing environments.
• Strong electrical and/or mechanical engineering background.
• Experience working in FMCG or production facilities.
• People leadership or supervision experience is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support a team of maintenance engineers on shift.
• Coordinate planned and reactive maintenance activities.
• Provide hands-on engineering support during breakdowns.
• Prioritise workloads based on production needs.
• Support fault finding and continuous improvement activities.
• Ensure PPM schedules are completed effectively.
• Promote high health and safety standards in the department.
• Collaborate with production and other departments to minimise downtime.
• Support development and performance of engineers within the team.

Location: Boston, LincolnshireSalary: Up to £55,000Shift: 4 on 4 off – Days & NightsWe are currently recruiting for an experienced Engineering Team Leader to join a well-established and successful manufacturing business based in the Boston area.This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Maintenance Engineer, Senior Engineer or Engineering Team Leader who is looking to take responsibility for a team within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities of the Engineering Team Leader:

• Lead and support a team of Maintenance Engineers during the shift.
• Coordinate planned and reactive maintenance activities.
• Provide hands-on engineering support during breakdowns.
• Prioritise engineering workloads based on production requirements.
• Support fault finding and continuous improvement activities.
• Ensure PPM schedules are completed effectively.
• Promote high standards of Health & Safety across the engineering department.
• Work closely with production and other departments to minimise downtime.
• Support the development and performance of engineers within the team.

Skills Required:

• Previous experience as a Maintenance Engineer, Senior Engineer, Shift Engineer or Engineering Team Leader.
• Strong electrical and/or mechanical engineering background.
• Experience working within a manufacturing, production or FMCG environment.
• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving ability.
• Previous leadership or supervisory experience would be advantageous.
• Comfortable remaining hands-on while also leading and coordinating a team.
