Job description

The Maintenance Engineer vacancy is working with a market leading Blue Chip Manufacturing firm in the Basildon area. The position offers excellent opportunities for both training and career development.

  • Hours of work - Days and Nights 4 on 4 off - 6am to 6pm
  • Salary - £58,500 per annum

Main Duties & Responsibilities of Maintenance Engineer include:
  • Providing plant-wide maintenance service, departmental support, and repairs to ensure production targets are met, including maintaining factory manufacturing machinery.
  • Monitoring and supporting machine set-up and changeovers to ensure product quality standards are met and changeovers are efficient.
Experience and Qualifications Required for Maintenance Engineer:
  • Recognised Engineering Apprenticeship & Qualification or equivalent, e.g., NVQ, City and Guilds, ONC, BTEC or above - Mechanical or Electrical.
  • High level of Health & Safety awareness.
  • Ability to fault find, repair, and provide solutions to problems.

This position may suit Mechanical Maintenance Engineers, Electrical Maintenance Engineers, Maintenance Fitters, Maintenance Electricians, or Multi-skilled Engineers.
