A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join a well-established and growing manufacturing business in Leeds.

This fast-paced production environment requires you to carry out planned and reactive maintenance, diagnose faults, minimise downtime and contribute to continuous improvement across the site. Salary £44,000+ with 2 days / 2 nights / 4 off shifts and a strong focus on career development.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer in a manufacturing, FMCG, processing, distribution or industrial environment.
• Strong electrical and mechanical fault-finding abilities.
• Experience carrying out planned, preventative and reactive maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) across production machinery and site equipment.
• Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns and diagnose faults efficiently.
• Conduct electrical and mechanical fault finding and repairs.
• Work collaboratively with production teams to minimise downtime.
• Support continuous improvement and reliability initiatives.
• Ensure all maintenance work is completed safely and in line with company procedures.
• Accurately complete maintenance documentation and reports.

Job Title: Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer

Location: Leeds

Salary: £44,000+

Shift: 2 Days / 2 Nights / 4 Off

The Role

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join a well-established and growing manufacturing business in Leeds.

This is a fast-paced production environment where you'll become part of a highly skilled engineering team responsible for ensuring maximum machinery reliability and plant performance. As a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer, you will carry out both planned and reactive maintenance activities, diagnose faults, minimise downtime and contribute to continuous improvement projects across the site.

Key Responsibilities

Essential Requirements

• Previous experience working as a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer within a manufacturing, FMCG, processing, distribution or industrial environment.
• Strong electrical and mechanical fault-finding abilities.
• Experience carrying out planned, preventative and reactive maintenance.
• Recognised engineering qualification (Electrical, Mechanical, Multi-Skilled or equivalent).
• Ability to work effectively within a fast-paced production environment.

Desirable Experience

• PLC fault-finding experience, including working with inputs and outputs.
• Experience working on conveyors, motors, drives, sensors, pumps, pneumatics and control systems.
• Previous experience within an automated manufacturing environment.
