Job summary

CV Technical Limited is seeking a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer in the Wednesbury area to maintain and improve production machinery, supporting both planned and reactive maintenance. The role offers exposure to a busy manufacturing environment and opportunities for continuous improvement.

The successful candidate will have strong mechanical and electrical fault-finding skills, a recognised engineering qualification, and the ability to work independently within a team.

• Experience working with production machinery.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM).
• Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical breakdowns.
• Fault finding and repairing production machinery.
• Support continuous improvement and reduce machinery downtime.
• Installation, modification and improvement of machinery and equipment.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records.
• Work with production to minimise downtime and ensure safety.

Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer

£50,000 | Double Days | Monday-Friday

We are currently recruiting for a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join a busy manufacturing business based in the Wednesbury area.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced engineer looking to join an established business, working on a range of production machinery and supporting the site with both planned and reactive maintenance.

Shifts: 7:00am - 4:00pm, 2:00pm - 10:00pm

The Role

As a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for keeping production machinery and equipment running efficiently, carrying out preventative maintenance and responding to breakdowns when required.

• Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM)
• Responding to and diagnosing mechanical and electrical breakdowns
• Fault finding and repairing production machinery
• Supporting continuous improvement and reducing machinery downtime
• Installation, modification and improvement of machinery and equipment
• Maintaining accurate maintenance records
• Working closely with the production team to minimise downtime
• Ensuring all maintenance activities are completed safely and efficiently

The Person

The successful candidate will ideally have:

• Previous experience working as a Maintenance Engineer within a manufacturing environment
• Strong mechanical and electrical fault-finding skills
• A recognised engineering qualification such as NVQ Level 3 / City & Guilds / apprenticeship
• Experience working with production machinery
• The ability to work independently and as part of a wider engineering team

• £50,000 basic salary
