Hunter Selection Ltd is supporting a UK-based manufacturer in Coventry in its search for a Maintenance Engineer to join the engineering team at a busy production facility.

You will carry out planned preventive maintenance, diagnose mechanical and electrical faults, and support equipment upgrades while ensuring reliability and uptime in a fast-paced environment.

The role suits hands-on engineers who can work independently and collaborate with operations to optimise plant performance.

Qualifications

• Experience in a maintenance role with strong mechanical focus.
• Knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Ability to diagnose basic electrical control faults.
• Experience interpreting technical drawings or maintenance manuals.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out planned preventive maintenance across production assets.
• Diagnosing and resolving mechanical and electrical faults to minimise downtime.
• Supporting equipment upgrades, modifications and improvement projects.
• Completing maintenance documentation and updating records.
• Identifying recurring issues and helping drive reliability improvements.
• Assisting with equipment installation, refurbishment and general engineering projects.
• Monitoring spare parts usage and supporting stock control activities.
• Working closely with operational teams to maintain plant performance.

An established UK-based manufacturer is seeking a Maintenance Engineer to join its engineering team at a busy production facility in Coventry.

Working within a small engineering department, you'll play a key role in supporting site operations, ensuring equipment reliability and driving continuous improvements across the plant.

The position would suit an engineer who enjoys a hands-on role, can work independently and is comfortable operating within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Carrying out planned preventive maintenance activities across a range of production assets.
• Diagnosing and resolving mechanical and electrical faults to minimise downtime.
• Supporting equipment upgrades, modifications and improvement projects.
• Completing maintenance documentation and updating electronic maintenance records.
• Identifying recurring issues and contributing to long-term reliability improvements.
• Assisting with equipment installation, refurbishment and general engineering projects.
• Monitoring spare parts usage and supporting stock control activities.
• Working closely with operational teams to maintain efficient plant performance.

Skills & Experience Required

• Strong mechanical maintenance experience.
