Job summary

Hunter Selection is seeking a Maintenance Engineer for their Corby site. You will join a small team of four engineers, carrying out planned maintenance, fault finding and improvements on food production and packaging equipment.

The role includes working 1 in 4 weekends on-call and night shifts. The ideal candidate has apprenticed and holds an NVQ Level 3 Electrical Engineering, with PLC, HMI, and SCADA fault-finding skills.

Qualifications

• Must have completed a time-served apprenticeship.
• NVQ Level 3 Electrical Engineering as minimum.
• Happy to work 1 in 4 weekends on-call.
• Experience in manufacturing environments.
• Electrical & mechanical fault finding skills.
• Comfortable night shift and unsupervised work.
• PLC, HMI, SCADA fault-finding capabilities.
• CMMS used to order spares & parts.
• Familiar with instrumentation is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned maintenance and reactive fault finding.
• Address electrical & mechanical faults on processing equipment.
• Work on conveyors, packaging, instrumentation, automation and controls.
• Order spares via CMMS and manage contractor RAMS & permits.
• Support RAMS, permits to work, and on-site safety.

Responsibilities

• Part of a small close knit team of X4 engineers
• Carry out planned maintenance, reactive fault finding, breakdowns, CI projects
• Electrical & mechanical fault finding & repairs
• Working on various industrial processing equipment, food production machinery, packaging machinery, conveyors, instrumentation, automation & controls
• Ordering spares & spares, via CMMS, contractor control - RAMS, Permits to Work
• PLC's, HMi's, DCS & SCADA Systems - electrical fault finding

Requirements

• Must have completed a time-served apprenticeship
• NVQ Level 3 Electrical Engineering as minimum
• Happy working 1 in 4 Weekends (Saturday & Sunday) on-call-rota
• Must have worked in manufacturing previously
• Electrical & mechanical fault finding & problem solving skills
• Comfortable working unsupervised on night shift
• PLC, HMi, SCADA Systems - electrical fault finding capabilities
• Able to use CMMS to order own spares & parts
• Familiar with instrumentation - beneficial
