• Identify recurring faults and recommend improvements to equipment reliability.
• Work closely with production teams to ensure machinery operates safely and efficiently.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and follow site health and safety procedures.

Maintenance Engineer

We are recruiting for a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join an established manufacturing business in Coventry. This is a hands on role focused on maintaining production machinery, minimising downtime and ensuring equipment operates efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on production machinery and equipment.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical faults to minimise production downtime.
• Respond to machinery breakdowns and carry out effective repairs.
• Maintain and replace mechanical components, including bearings, gearboxes, pumps, motors and conveyor systems.
• Identify recurring faults and recommend improvements to equipment reliability.
• Work closely with production teams to ensure machinery operates safely and efficiently.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and follow site health and safety procedures.

The Ideal Candidate:

• Previous experience as a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer, Maintenance Fitter or similar.
• Strong mechanical fault finding and problem-solving skills.
• Experience carrying out planned and reactive maintenance within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Good knowledge of mechanical systems, machinery and components.
• Knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems would be advantageous.
• A relevant engineering qualification or apprenticeship would be beneficial.
