Job summary

Gi Group UK is seeking a skilled Maintenance Engineer for a night shift role in Coventry. You will help maintain and improve production machinery, ensuring high availability and minimal downtime.

Key tasks include TPM-based maintenance, OEE data-driven improvements, and mentoring apprentices within a supportive team environment.

Qualifications

• HNC in Electrical/Electronics or Mechanical Engineering is required.
• 18th Edition electrical wiring qualification is advantageous.
• Experience with PLC fault finding (S5, S7, TIA Portal) and control panels.
• Minimum 1 year in a similar manufacturing role.
• Strong knowledge of electro-pneumatics, hydraulics and machining technologies.
• Ability to work independently or collaboratively under time pressure.

Shift Pattern: Night shift

We are seeking a skilled and proactive Maintenance Engineer to join our team in Coventry on a night shift pattern. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in maintaining and improving the performance of our production machinery.

• Ensure technical availability of production machinery and facilities


• Perform first-line fixes to minimise downtime and support production continuity


• Maintain equipment to TPM schedules and improve machine uptime using OEE data


• Support building services and participate in improvement projects


• Mentor apprentices and provide technical advice when needed

Requirements:
