Job summary
Hunter Selection Ltd is assisting a leading manufacturer in Clevedon, North Somerset, to recruit a Maintenance Engineer. The role focuses on planned maintenance, safety checks, and continuous improvement across valves and pumps, supporting production and upgrade projects.
You will carry out inspections, monitor plant conditions, generate SOPs, and ensure compliance. The package includes a salary of £52,000–£53,700, Monday–Friday with one weekend in four, overtime, holidays, pension, life cover,
Qualifications
- Formal engineering qualification (C&G Level 3 / NVQ3 / Apprenticeship) required.
- Experience in food, packaging, drink manufacturing environments.
- Continuous improvement knowledge.
- Strong knowledge of engineering standards.
Responsibilities
- Planned maintenance inspections, review parts used.
- Recommend improvements in line with projects and maintenance schedules, carry out safety checks on range of equipment.
- Monitor plant conditions, report defects, repair of machinery.
- Generate and maintain compliance to SOPs, risk assessments.
- Report on plant performance using systems, ensure action on non-conformance issues.
- Working on a range of valves & pumps.
- Supporting production & continuous improvement projects.

Our client is a leading manufacturer that is dedicated to producing products that’s quality is recognised as second to none. With a strong order book and over £9mill of investment going into the factory & growth into various export markets they are looking for a Maintenance Engineer to join their Engineering team.
- Planned Maintenance inspections, review parts used
