Job summary

Kinetic plc in Blackburn is seeking a Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer to maintain food processing machinery and perform PPMs and reactive maintenance. You will work with a small team to minimise downtime and support continuous production.

A permanent role with 4 on 4 off days and nights (or 18:00-06:00) offers a £48,000 salary, Auto Enrolment pension, and opportunities to develop your skills within FMCG environments.

Qualifications

• Engineering apprenticeship and associated qualifications such as BTEC ONC, HNC, HND in Electrical Engineering is essential.
• Have a proven track record in an Engineering and fault-finding role gained from within a FMCG environment.
• Have a good understanding of HACCP, COSHH and GMP principles.
• Drive Root Cause Analysis and strive to prevent re-occurrence with counter measures.
• PLC fault finding.
• CMMS experience and knowledge.
• Ability to deploy and execute the preventative maintenance strategy for the site.

Responsibilities

• Work as part of a small team of multi-disciplined engineers
• Undertake PPM's on equipment
• Action repairs and ensure all measures taken are recorded so recurrent faults can be recognised
• Liaise with the Engineering Manager and Senior Engineer to ensure the supply of appropriate parts
• Minimise the amount of downtime suffered by the site following machine breakdowns
• Continually develop your skills and knowledge
• Comply with all health, safety and environmental policies and procedures

• Strong Electrical and Mechanical knowledge and ability on Food processing machinery
• Process control knowledge.
• Competent in building electrical control systems from switchgear through to software implementation.
• Engineering apprenticeship and associated qualifications such as BTEC ONC, HNC, HND in Electrical Engineering is essential
• Have a proven track record in an Engineering and fault-finding role gained from within a FMCG environment.
• Have a good understanding of HACCP, COSHH and GMP principles
