Corrigenda is recruiting a Maintenance Electrician to cover Surrey and surrounding areas in commercial properties across education, private and public sectors. The role involves planned and reactive electrical tasks, fault diagnostics and high safety standards.

Essential qualifications include City & Guilds/NVQ, NVQ3/AM2, 18th Edition, and clean DBS. Desirable skills include test & inspection qualifications and knowledge of heating/ventilation controls.

Qualifications

• City and Guilds or NVQ qualification (essential).
• NVQ Level 3 / AM2 in electrical discipline (or equivalent experience).
• 18th Edition.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to achieve high levels of customer satisfaction.
• Ability to work well on own or as part of a team.
• Operate SMART devices and complete electronic documentation.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned and fault diagnostic work to lighting and power distribution systems.
• Maintenance repairs on lights in halls, lobby areas and streetlighting.
• Participation in the out of hours call out rota.
• Work flexible hours to suit business requirements.
• Maintain a safe working environment for yourself, other engineers, end users on site and general public at all times.
• Collaborate with other engineers and site staff to arrange site access to required working areas.
• Support other resources as required.

Maintenance Electrician

FULL TIME – 40 HOURS

Salary: Competitive (Subject to knowledge and experience)

Location: Surrey & Surrounding Areas

Due to our continuous growth, Corrigenda are looking to recruit enthusiastic and dedicated electrical engineers to carry out a broad range of planned and reactive electrical tasks across Surrey and the surrounding regions. The work will be predominantly in commercial properties in the education,private & public sectors.

Key Responsibilities include (but not limited to)

• Carry out planned and fault diagnostic work to various lighting and power distribution
  systems
• Working at height to carry out maintenance repairs on lights in halls, lobby areas and
  streetlight etc. (All necessary equipment / training will be provided)
• Participation of the out of hours call out rota
• Work flexible hours to suit business requirements
• Maintain a safe working environment for yourself, other engineers, end users on site and
  general public at all times
• Ability to work effectively on own or as part of team to ensure we meet our client contract
  expectations
• To collaborate with other engineers and site staff to arrange site access to required working
  areas
• A flexible approach to supporting other resources as required

Knowledge, Experience and Skills

Essential

• A suitable City and Guilds or equivalent NVQ qualification.
• NVQ Level 3 / AM2 in relevant Electrical discipline (or equivalent experience).
• 18th Edition .
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to achieve high levels of customer satisfaction.
• Ability to work well on own or as part of team.
• Be able to operate SMART devices and complete electronic documentation.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Pass DBS / Police background checks for working in schools / Police stations.

Desirable

• Test & Inspection Qualification.
• Experience in a similar role and working sectors .
• A basic knowledge and understanding of heating and ventilation controls would be an advantage.
