Job summary

Vertu FM is recruiting a Maintenance Electrician for a permanent, full-time role based in Brentwood and surrounding areas.

You will perform planned preventive maintenance and reactive repairs on electrical systems within commercial buildings, including installation, testing and ongoing maintenance. You will travel regionally to respond to service desk requests and ensure timely completion of work, updating systems accordingly.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) required.
• 18th edition and 2391 qualifications required.
• Experience maintaining electrical systems on commercial sites.
• Strong customer service and reporting skills; able to work independently.
• Full UK driving licence; willingness to travel regionally.

We are working with a reputable and growing national facilities management contractor that delivers planned and reactive building maintenance services across a portfolio of commercial buildings.

Due to continued growth, they are recruiting for their mobile engineering team.

The Role:

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance and reactive repairs to electrical systems
• Install, maintenance and testing works
• Working on commercial buildings
• Respond to jobs from the service desk and plan work to meet agreed response times.
• Identify additional repairs, advise on replacement needs and support quotations where required.
• Keep job progress and completion information up to date on company systems.

The Person:

• You must hold NVQ Level 3 or equivalent and must hold 18th edition and 2391
• Experience carrying out maintenance electrical works on commercial sites
• Strong customer service, sound IT/reporting skills and ability to work independently.
• Full UK driving licence and comfortable travelling throughout the regional patch.

The Package:

• Basic salary £40000 - £44000
• Permanent, full-time
• Monday-Friday
• Overtime available
• Company van and travel paid after the first and last 30 minutes of each day.

• 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays.
