Corrigenda is seeking a Maintenance Electrician for Hampshire and surrounding areas to cover planned and reactive electrical tasks in commercial properties within education, private and public sectors. You will perform fault diagnostics, maintenance on lighting and power systems, and participate in an out-of-hours rota.

The role requires City & Guilds/NVQ, NVQ Level 3/AM2, 18th Edition, and a full UK driving licence, with DBS checks for work in schools or police facilities.

Formación

• City and Guilds or NVQ qualification in electrical discipline.
• NVQ Level 3 / AM2 in relevant electrical discipline.
• 18th Edition wiring regulations.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Full UK driving licence required.
• DBS / Police background checks for working in schools / public sectors.

Responsabilidades

• Carry out planned and fault diagnostic work on lighting and power distribution systems.
• Work at height to maintain lights in halls, lobbies and streetlights; all equipment/training provided.
• Participate in the out-of-hours call-out rota.
• Work flexible hours to meet business needs.
• Maintain a safe working environment for all on site and the public.
• Collaborate with engineers and site staff to arrange site access.
• Support other resources as required.

Maintenance Electrician

FULL TIME – 40 HOURS

Salary: Competitive (Subject to knowledge and experience)

Location: Hampshire & Surrounding areas

Due to our continuous growth, Corrigenda are looking to recruit enthusiastic and dedicated electrical engineer to carry out a broad range of planned and reactive electrical tasks predominantly in the Southampton area and surrounding regions. The work will be mainly in commercial properties in the education, private & public sectors.

Key Responsibilities include (but not limited to)

• Carry out planned and fault diagnostic work to various lighting and power distribution systems.
• Working at height to carry out maintenance repairs on lights in halls, lobby areas and streetlight etc. (All necessary equipment / training will be provided).
• Participation of the out of hours call out rota.
• Work flexible hours to suit business requirements.
• Maintain a safe working environment for yourself, other engineers, end users on site and general public at all times.
• Ability to work effectively on own or as part of team to ensure we meet our client contract expectations.
• To collaborate with other engineers and site staff to arrange site access to required working areas.
• A flexible approach to supporting other resources as required

Knowledge, Experience and Skills

Essential

• A suitable City and Guilds or equivalent NVQ qualification.
• NVQ Level 3 / AM2 in relevant Electrical discipline (or equivalent experience).
• 18th Edition.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to achieve high levels of customer satisfaction.
• Ability to work well on own or as part of team.
• Be able to operate SMART devices and complete electronic documentation.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Pass DBS / Police background checks for working in schools / Police stations.

Desirable

• Test & Inspection Qualification.
• Experience in a similar role and working sectors.
• A basic knowledge and understanding of heating and ventilation controls would be an advantage.
• Live with in commutable distance to the Portsmouth area would be advantageous.
