Job summary

Randstad CPE is seeking a Static Electrical Maintenance Engineer in Kettering to perform planned and reactive electrical maintenance across regional sites. The role requires NVQ Level 2/3 or City & Guilds in Electrical Installation and 18th Edition compliance.

You will deliver PPM, diagnose faults, and support minor installations while maintaining safety and documentation. UK driving licence is essential for site travel.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2/3 or City & Guilds in Electrical Installation required.
• 18th Edition Wiring Regulations certification required.
• Proven track record in commercial or multi-site electrical maintenance.
• Valid UK Driving Licence essential for regional travel.
• Strong fault-finding ability and clear communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) across regional sites.
• Respond to emergency reactive requests and electrical breakdowns.
• Diagnose faults and carry out remedial repairs on power systems.
• Complete minor electrical installation projects (lighting circuits, power distribution).
• Maintain logs and manage vendor access at sites as needed.
• Ensure works comply with current UK Health and Safety guidelines.

Job Title: Static Electrical Maintenance Engineer

Location: Kettering

Salary: GBP40,000 : GBP41,000 pa

Hours: Monday : Friday (07:00 am : 03:00 pm or 07:30 am : 03:30 pm)

Package and Benefits

• Base Salary: Upto GBP41,000 pa
• Working Hours: Early shift pattern (40 hours/week, Mon:Fri)
• Overtime: Available for optional extra earnings
• On:Call Rota: Fully optional (opt:in / opt:out friendly for work:life balance)
• Call:Out Allowance: GBP150 per week standby when on rota, 1 in 4 or 1 in 5 week rotation covering the wider Midlands region.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) across regional commercial/industrial sites.
• Respond efficiently to emergency reactive requests and electrical breakdowns.
• Diagnose faults, troubleshoot complex power supply issues, and carry out remedial repairs.
• Complete minor electrical installation projects, including lighting circuits and power distribution adjustments.
• Maintain clear logs of maintenance work and manage vendor site access when required.
• Ensure all works adhere strictly to current UK Health and Safety guidelines.

Requirements And Qualifications

• Qualifications: NVQ Level 2/3 or City and Guilds equivalent in Electrical Installation.
• Regulations: 18th Edition Wiring Regulations certification.
• Experience: Proven track record in commercial or multi:site electrical maintenance.
• Driving Licence: Valid UK Drivers Licence (essential for regional site travel).
• Skills: Strong fault:finding ability, independence, and strong communication skills.
