Job summary

Calibre Search is seeking a Maintenance Electrician to join a prestigious static site in Kettering. The role offers a Monday–Friday days pattern, a competitive £40,000–£42,000 salary, overtime, standby and comprehensive benefits in a leading facilities management environment.

You will perform PPM and reactive electrical work across a range of plant and equipment, ensuring safety, compliance, and continuous operation at the site. Strong fault-finding, communication and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Must have City & Guilds Part 1 & 2 in Electrical Installation or Level 2/3 Electrical qualification
• 17th or 18th Edition Wiring Regulations
• Previous experience in commercial or industrial electrical maintenance
• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
• A professional approach with excellent customer and communication skills

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance within agreed timescales.
• Complete electrical maintenance, repairs and minor works to a high standard.
• Support other engineers and technicians with both major and minor maintenance activities.
• Prioritise and complete maintenance tasks efficiently and professionally.
• Ensure all required tools and equipment are available, serviceable and fit for purpose.
• Accurately complete all relevant maintenance documentation and paperwork.
• Provide support across other sites within the cluster when required.
• Work closely with client and company colleagues to maintain high standards of quality and service.
• Ensure all work is completed in line with KPIs, health & safety requirements and company procedures.
• Keep the Mercury CAFM system fully updated with accurate, live job information.

Education

City & Guilds Part 1 & 2 in Electrical Installation

Level 2/3 Electrical qualification

17th or 18th Edition Wiring Regulations

Commercial/industrial electrical maintenance experience

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Maintenance Electrician to join one of the world's leading Facilities Management companies, working on a prestigious and high-profile static site in Kettering. The Role

Working as part of a professional engineering team within a large distribution centre, you will be responsible for carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM), reactive maintenance and general building maintenance across a range of electrical and mechanical plant and equipment. You'll play an important role in ensuring the site remains safe, compliant and fully operational.
