Job summary

Carter Resourcing Group is supporting a client in recruiting a Maintenance Electrician for a commercial environment in Greater London. The role covers planned and reactive maintenance of building electrical services to keep plant and equipment safe, reliable and operational.

The ideal candidate is electrically qualified, with strong fault-finding skills and knowledge of LV systems, able to work independently and as part of a team.

Qualifications

• Electrical qualification required (NVQ Level 3/City & Guilds or equivalent).
• 18th Edition Wiring Regulations.
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
• Good understanding of LV systems and building services.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• A proactive approach to maintenance and problem-solving.
• Valid UK right to work.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance.
• Diagnose and rectify electrical faults across the site.
• Reactive maintenance tasks.
• Carry out routine inspections and testing of plant and equipment.
• Complete maintenance records, job sheets and documentation.
• Liaise with contractors and service providers when required.
• Support the wider engineering team and ensure health and safety compliance.

Job description

We are currently supporting a great client of ours in finding a Maintenance Electrician to join their team.

The successful candidate will be electrically qualified, with strong commercial building services experience and the relevant electrical qualifications to work safely and effectively within the environment.

The Role

Working as part of a professional engineering team, you will be responsible for the planned and reactive maintenance of the building's electrical services, ensuring all plant, equipment and systems remain safe, reliable and operational.

The role will suit a qualified engineer who is confident working independently, has excellent fault-finding skills and understands the demands of a high-profile commercial environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance
• Diagnose and rectify electrical faults across the site
• Reactive maintenance tasks
• Carry out routine inspections and testing of plant and equipment
• Complete maintenance records, job sheets and relevant documentation

Requirements

• Recognised electrical qualification, such as NVQ Level 3 / City & Guilds Electrical Engineering or equivalent.

Package

• £44,000 basic salary
• 25 days annual leave
