Job summary

PRS is recruiting a multiskilled maintenance electrician to join a team responsible for building services and plant room maintenance in the Harrogate area. The role involves managing electrical maintenance, compliance checks, and supporting HVAC systems in a commercial estate. Permanent position with days Mon-Fri and on-call standby.

Qualifications

• Recognised professional electrical qualification, Level 3.
• Multiskilled background, ideally with HVAC plant experience (AHUs, fan coils).
• 18th edition compliance knowledge.
• Ideally AM2 qualification.
• Proven building maintenance experience in a commercial environment.
• Must be presentable, articulate with solid compliance and PPM record-keeping.

Responsibilities

• Completing building services / electrical maintenance.
• Undertake planned and reactive maintenance on electrical systems.
• Cover maintenance of lighting, emergency systems and HVAC plant room.
• Complete PPMs in line with SLA and KPI agreements.
• Respond to Helpdesk requests with timely, professional service.
• Lead works and provide guidance to resident maintenance personnel and sub-contractors.

Job description

Position: Maintenance Electrician

Location: Harrogate

Type: Permanent

Salary: £42,000 basic

We are recruiting for a multiskilled maintenance electrician to join a new team of maintenance engineers in providing building services and plant room maintenance to an estate in the Harrogate area. You will be expected to have and excellent understanding of plant room and building services engineering, compliance and have a multiskilled background.

The role is a Permanent position paying circa 42k. Mon-Fri days 40 hours per week plus overtime. Flexibility on start and finish times. On call 1 in 3/4 with £160 standby payment.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Completing building services / electrical maintenance
• To undertake planned and reactive maintenance tasks on electrical systems
• To cover all maintenance of lighting, emergency systems, building services plant room electrical systems.
• To complete PPMs in line with SLA and KPI agreements
• To respond to Helpdesk requests, providing a professional and timely service
• Work on AHU's, fans coils and general HVAC plant room
• Mechanical and fabric tasks where required
• Compliance checks
• Small works projects
• Lead works providing guidance to resident maintenance personnel, client managers and sub-contractors
• Provide guidance on compliance and scheduling of checks plus visibility of compliance records

Skills & Background Required

• Recognised professional Electrical qualification, Level 3
• Multiskilled background, ideally to have experience on general HVAC plant including AHU's, fan coils etc.
• 18th edition
• Ideally AM2
• Proven building maintenance experience within a commercial environmentMust be presentable, articulate with a sound understanding of compliance and PPM paperwork and records
• Able to clear security check
