Howmet Aerospace Inc. is seeking a skilled maintenance electrician to install, maintain, test and repair equipment in a heavy engineering/manufacturing setting. You will support the operations team to meet targets while upholding health and safety standards.
Responsibilities include fault diagnosis, planning scheduled maintenance, and liaising with client departments. The role requires a proactive, analytical approach and ability to work a Panama shift system if required.
Normal hours of work are 42 hours per week, 24/7 shift pattern, Monday to Sunday inclusive. The postholder is required to work such hours as are necessary in order to satisfactorily perform the role. Main Purpose of Job To effectively carry out the installation, maintenance, testing and repair of all equipment used within the manufacturing industry. To support the operations team to achieve their target and to maintain health & safety standards. To meet legislative requirements, meet company standards/Policy while ensuring optimum plant performance. Assisting with the development of PPM systems and the forward scheduling of maintenance activities Operational tasks to comply with legislation and company procedures Fault diagnosis, repair and maintenance in a steel work / heavy engineering environment Applicant conversant in general machine wiring and installation, including temperature control and lighting Planning and scheduling planned and unplanned work Liaise with client departments Control maintenance tools, stores and equipment Monitor maintenance costs Improve production facilities Note: This job description is a guide to the principal, current duties of the job. Determined, quality orientated, organized and disciplined Able to uphold and maintain systems/standards Good communicator and listener, analytical and numerate Team player. HV experience. FLT, OHC, Confined Space, Working at Height, MEWP. Knowledge of SHIRES electronic maintenance system or equivalent. Attention to detail Supportive for all maintenance activities Experience
