Job Description

To maintain and repair a range of electrical and mechanical plant and equipment in an efficient and cost-effective manner whilst in compliance with the Company Health and Safety policy.

Note: Although not an exhaustive list, this is likely to include wood-working machinery, PLC, HVAC systems, compactors, lighting, and other static and portable electrical equipment, systems, and circuitry.

Principal Accountabilities

1. Represent the company professionally at all times and develop strong working relationships with colleagues and clients.
2. Complete the Preventive Planned Maintenance (PPM) schedule within agreed timescales and ensure all necessary paperwork is accurately completed according to procedures.
3. Prioritize maintenance and repair work to meet response and completion times.
4. Identify non-repairable faults and promptly advise the Facilities Manager with recommendations for replacement.
5. Inform the Facilities Manager of any repair issues affecting the store's operations.
6. Manage subcontractor attendance as required, following company processes.
7. Conduct surveys and prepare reports as required by the Facilities Manager.
8. Perform minor alterations and installations within technical competence and current specifications.
9. Maintain accurate timesheets and mileage logs.
10. Attend training courses as necessary to keep technical skills up-to-date.
11. Comply with the company's Health and Safety Policy at all times.
12. Follow any other reasonable instructions from the Line Manager.
13. Ensure company vehicle (if provided) is kept clean, well-maintained, and serviced as needed.
