E3 Recruitment is looking for a DAYS ONLY Maintenance Electrician to join a well-established manufacturing business in the Sussex area. The role involves carrying out electrical and mechanical maintenance on production equipment, with a focus on safety and reliability.

The position offers a DAYS ONLY, Mon-Fri schedule from 6:30am to 5:00pm, with overtime at enhanced rates and a company pension plus training and development opportunities for long-term stability and career growth.

Qualifications

• Proven electrical and mechanical maintenance experience within an industrial environment.
• Experience working with automation equipment and three-phase electrical system is essential.
• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance on a range of production equipment.
• Provide maintenance support across electrical, mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
• Diagnose faults and complete repairs to minimise production downtime.
• Follow isolation, lock-off and site safety procedures at all times.
• Complete maintenance documentation and maintenance records accurately.
• Support continuous improvement activities to enhance efficiency, productivity and reliability.
• Assist with maintenance projects and equipment upgrades.
• Maintain excellent housekeeping standards and ensure compliance with all health and safety procedures.
• Work closely with production teams to ensure equipment performance and reliability.

Requirements as a Maintenance Electrician:

• 18th Edition Electrical Qualification is essential.
• Proven electrical and mechanical maintenance experience within an industrial environment is essential.
• Experience working with automation equipment and three-phase electrical system is essential.
• Three-phase experience is essential.
• Strong understanding of health and safety procedures and safe systems of work.
• Excellent fault-finding and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong organisational and communication skills.
• Self-motivated with the ability to prioritise workloads effectively.

Roles and responsibilities of a Maintenance Electrician:
