The position runs on a late shift, 15:00–23:00, Monday to Friday. Applicants should have NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Engineering, and 18th Edition is a plus, with experience in 3‑phase systems and PLC fault finding.

Qualifications

  • NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
  • 18th Edition would be beneficial.
  • Experience with 3 phase systems.
  • Strong electrical fault finding and diagnostics including PLC.
  • Experience in production/manufacturing environment advantageous.
  • Ability to perform planned and reactive maintenance.
  • Good health and safety understanding.
  • Self-motivated and hands-on.
  • Able to work independently and in a team.
  • Forklift license would be beneficial.

Responsibilities

  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance and reactive repairs across site equipment and facilities.
  • Diagnose and resolve electrical and mechanical faults to minimise downtime.
  • Support continuous improvement of equipment reliability and performance.
  • Ensure all maintenance activities are completed safely and in line with site procedures.
  • Assist in maintaining accurate maintenance records and schedules.
  • Ensure equipment operates safely and efficiently at all times.

Job description

I am currently recruiting for an Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join my clients busy manufacturing facility in Horsham, West Sussex. This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established organisation offering long term stability and a varied working environment.

The successful Electrical Maintenance Engineer will be responsible for maintaining and improving a range of production equipment and site services. You will play a key role in ensuring machinery operates efficiently, minimising downtime and supporting overall operational performance. This position would suit an electrically biased engineer who enjoys fault finding and working in a hands-on role.

Please note, this is working a late shift, Monday - Friday 15:00 - 23:00 hours.

Electrical Maintenance Engineer Responsibilities:
  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance and reactive repairs across site equipment and facilities.
  • Diagnose and resolve electrical and mechanical faults to minimise downtime.

Electrical Maintenance Engineer Requirements:

  • Strong electrical fault finding and diagnostic skills, including PLC.
  • Previous experience working within a production or manufacturing environment would be advantageous.
  • Ability to carry out both planned and reactive maintenance.
  • Good understanding of health and safety practices.
  • Self-motivated with a proactive and hands on approach.
  • Able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Forklift license would also be beneficial.
Electrical Maintenance Engineer Benefits:
  • Salary - £50,000 - £55,000 depending on experience.
  • Working hours - 15:00 - 23:00 hours Monday - Friday
