Job summary

AMF Recruitment Ltd is seeking a Maintenance Electrician for a large manufacturing site near Huddersfield. The role covers installation, maintenance and repair of plant and machinery on a fast-paced production environment.

You will work in a multi-skilled team, be conversant with PLCs and control systems, and hold City & Guilds in Electrical Maintenance plus 18th Edition. Day-to-day duties include fixes, wiring, and implementing improvements to reduce downtime.

Qualifications

• City and Guilds or equivalent in Electrical Maintenance (Apprenticeship).
• City & Guilds 18th Edition qualification required.
• GCSE or equivalent in Maths and English.

Responsibilities

• Part of a multi-skilled team; maintain and repair electrical plant and machinery.
• Installation, wiring and panel work on existing and new equipment.
• Carry out breakdown maintenance and respond to faults on site.
• Support development of new plant and machinery.

Maintenance Electrician

Our client, a large manufacturing business based near Huddersfield, have an immediate requirement to recruit a well versed Maintenance Electrician.

Key Responsibilities:

Part of a multi-skilled team, you will be involved in all aspects of electrical work in a high quality, fast paced manufacturing site working on existing plant and the development of new plant and machinery.

Formal Qualifications

• A City and Guilds or similar qualification in Electrical Maintenance (Apprenticeship)
• City & Guilds 18th Edition
• GCSE or equivalent in Maths and English

• Creative and able to work under own initiative and also as part of a team

Work/Relevant Experience

• Experience in a similar role
• Experience working with machine and plant maintenance and breakdowns

This is a permanent position where you will be expected to work the following hours:

Week 1 - 6am to 2pm Monday to Thursday and 6am to 11:30am Friday

Week 2 - 2pm to 10pm Monday to Thursday and 11:30am - 5pm on a Friday

In return you can expect a salary of £38610 - £44101.
