Job summary

Project Start Recruitment Solutions is seeking an experienced Maintenance Electrician for a Birmingham-based role delivering PPM, reactive maintenance, fault finding and testing across commercial properties.

You will join a team supporting a nationwide client base with a 1-in-4 callout rota and a competitive benefits package. The position pays £42,000–£44,000 per year and requires full UK driving licence.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 / City & Guilds Electrical Installation or equivalent is required.
• 18th Edition Wiring Regulations knowledge is essential.
• 2391 Inspection & Testing is ESSENTIAL.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative electrical maintenance (PPM).
• Attend reactive maintenance and electrical breakdowns.
• Diagnose and rectify electrical faults.

JOB PURPOSE

Due to continued growth, our client is looking for an experienced Maintenance Electrician to join their expanding team in the West Midlands.

You will carry out a combination of planned preventative maintenance (PPM), reactive maintenance, fault finding, repairs, inspection and testing, and minor installation works across a range of commercial properties.

QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE

• NVQ Level 3 / City & Guilds Electrical Installation or equivalent.
• 18th Edition Wiring Regulations.
• 2391 Inspection & Testing – ESSENTIAL.
• Proven experience in commercial electrical maintenance.
• Strong electrical fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
• Good knowledge of commercial electrical systems.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Due to the nature of the role, a full DBS check will be carried out.

SALARY & BENEFITS

Our client is offering a salary of £42,000–£44,000 per annum, depending on experience.

• £140 per week standby payment when on call.
