Quantum Care is seeking a Maintenance Coordinator to join Furzewood Lodge in South Oxhey, Watford. This 75-bed, purpose-built care home provides a welcoming environment and a modern platform for residents and staff.

You will manage routine maintenance, carry out basic repairs, coordinate with housekeeping and contractors, and help ensure safe, clean, and well-presented surroundings. Working hours are 9am–5pm weekdays, with weekend duties and a competitive hourly rate.

Qualifications

• Experience in a caretaker, maintenance, facilities, or building services role.
• Practical skills to carry out basic repairs and general upkeep.
• Proactive approach to identify and resolve issues.
• Ability to work independently and manage workload.
• Strong organisational skills and prioritisation.
• Commitment to safe, clean environments.
• Good communication with residents, visitors, contractors and colleagues.
• Basic IT skills for reporting issues and keeping records.

• Cleaning outdoor areas and waste/parking zones including snow/ice clearance
• Assisting with moving furniture including hospital beds
• Undertaking additional duties to support the Home

Maintenance Coordinator

Contract: Full Time - Perm

Hour: 35 - 37 hours per week

Shifts: 9am – 5pm Monday to Friday

Pay: £14.39 per hour weekdays & £14.89 per hour weekends

We are seeking a Maintenance Coordinator to join our newly opened purpose built Care Home Furzewood Lodge in South Oxhey, Watford. The 75 bed modern facility has been thoughtfully designed to provide an excellent working environment and state of the art home for residents. Nestled in the heart of South Oxhey, it offers a welcoming setting with excellent local amenities, green open spaces, and convenient transport links, creating a comfortable and well-connected environment for residents and staff alike.

What You’ll Bring

Your Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Painting and decorating

• Replacing stained or damaged Ceiling tiles
• Carrying out routine inspections of the Home and reporting maintenance needs to the Housekeeping Manager
• Cleaning outdoor areas such as footpaths, waste and parking zones, including snow and ice clearance
• Assisting with moving furniture, including tables and hospital beds
• Undertaking additional duties, as required, to support the smooth operation of the Home, as directed by the Home Manager or Housekeeping Manager
