Job summary

Dematic is seeking a Resident Maintenance Technician for our Erith site in the United Kingdom. This role supports the automated materials handling system on site and reports to the Site Engineering Manager.

The position involves servicing, repairing, and maintaining complex automation equipment and ensuring safety and quality standards are met. You will diagnose mechanical, electrical, electronic and PLC faults, work across days, nights and weekends, and actively contribute to improvements and

Qualifications

• ONC or equivalent in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering required.
• Willingness to work shifts including days, nights and weekends.
• Working knowledge of Mechanical, Electrical & Electronic manuals & drawings.
• Experience with PLC, PC faults diagnosis and repair.
• Ability to comply with Health & Safety legislation and quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Carry out automated material handling and equipment servicing.
• Undertake scheduled repairs per manufacturer recommendations.
• Diagnose Mechanical, Electrical, Electronic, PLC and PC faults and perform repairs.
• Record all work undertaken accurately.
• Keep on-site spares at optimum levels.
• Represent the company in a professional manner and maintain customer relations.
• Contribute to continuous improvement and identify sales opportunities.
• Adhere to the Quality processes and procedures.
