Job summary

The Inn Collection Group seeks a Maintenance Assistant to keep our pubs-with-rooms safe, comfortable and well‑maintained. You will perform daily checks on boilers, electrical systems and fire safety equipment, and carry out lighting, door and external area maintenance.

You'll also handle planned maintenance like painting and grouting, with basic plumbing/electrical/joinery tasks and a proactive approach to hazard prevention and compliance.

Qualifications

• Basic plumbing, electrical and joinery skills are essential.
• Focus on compliance through ladder checks, fire alarm tests and utility readings.

Responsibilities

• Daily checks on boilers, electrical systems and fire safety equipment.
• Inspecting and replacing light bulbs and securing fire doors.
• Regular inspections of roofs, gutters and walkways to address hazards and maintain outdoor areas.
• Gardening and external housekeeping duties.
